I am currently writing about the word cool in my English class ,and what I believe the word means. Cool is what makes a
person interesting. A famous person is cool because he/she can successfully act
or sing. These interesting facts about a famous person makes them cool. Not
everyone can sing or act which is what makes these famous people interesting.
In my mind, being creative enough to create music is beyond cool. Even someone that
people may not consider cool can be the coolest person. If people actually took
the time to get to know someone they considered uncool, they may end up finding
out a bunch of interesting characteristics about that person that makes them
cool. A person’s hobby or passion for something can make them cool. When a
person has a passion for something like cooking, it makes them cool for having
an interesting hobby.

Keeping Up
I looked back at my first essay about my resolutions and I completely understand what people mean when they say " easier said then done". Surprisingly I have been keeping up with my resolutions though I have been struggling to do so. It is really hard trying to keep up with staying focused when you have your personal life getting in the way. I try to keep my personal, social, business and school life all separate ,but lately it feels like everything has been clashing together. These resolutions and how I am dealing with my current situation in life show me I can still get things done under stress. I manage to keep my grades together, and I get majority of my work done though that is not enough. For my new resolution, I am going to try and get all my work done ahead of time. I will set my own due date which will be two or three days before the original due date just so I can have time to review it and never miss the deadlines. For the rest of the semester, I am going to try and stay as focused as I can even if that means leaving home for a few days to live in a library. I am going to make sure I finish the semester off stronger than how I started it.

Perfectionist
Surprisingly I enjoy writing; it is just the pressure of a good grade and deadlines that disrupts my joy. The process of perfecting my paper is exciting. Watching as my assignment paper transforms over many of my revision makes me strive for my paper to be A material. I enjoy the entire process of editing and learning from my mistakes. Working on an assignment, starting from its reading, excites me how much my thought process can transform information into a well written essay. Outside of writing essays, I write on a regular. That is most likely why I enjoy English class today. I love writing poems, though I started with writing stories. It excites me how my imagination can be expressed so vividly on paper. I still till today try to keep up with my writing. The way I write is different from the academic writing because I can write about anything, and however I feel like it. I love the feeling after I free-write; I feel like a new person.

Deadlines
I usually do not have a problem with deadlines unless I have a legit excuse, but an excuse does not seem to be a solution. It is my responsibility as a student to make sure I prioritize my work and when it is due. When assigned an assignment, I try and make sure I get it done the day of regardless of the due date. I find it easier to complete my work when instructions and advice from my professor is still fresh in my head.I also do this because I am a procrastinator and know if I do not do it right away I will prolong it till it is too late.
Another way I deal with deadlines is by organizing what I need done and when I need it done with the help of to-do lists. To-do lists push me to get things done on time. Seeing what I have to do on paper keeps me on track. The actual process of checking off what I have already done motivates me to complete the rest of my list. If I find myself backed up on work, knowing I have a deadline for an assignment coming up, I completely drop everything else I am working on to make sure the assignment with the closest deadline is completed.
I have learned that teachers do not set deadlines to torture their students but to discipline them for the future. In the real world there are no second chances or extended deadlines for bills or office work; you either get it done or you do not. Not getting it done causes people to deal with the consequences in the future like losing their home or job.. If a student went through school thinking every deadline could be extended what kind of lesson does that prove in the future?

Radio Show
1.) My Opinion Toward the story is good. I like it. It was real funny even though it was racist.
2.) The way the officer was speaking to Cleverland was as if he was accusing him of someting. The way the other Officer spoke to Noah was as if he was a victum.
3.) Noah Spoke to the Officer like he was clueless to what he was talkin about or even why they stopped them. He sounded like a child. The way Cleveland Spoke to the officer was like he didnt do anything. Like he was trying to prove he did nothing wrong and also embarressed and tried of always getting pulled over.
4.) There were Steryotypes in this story. Noah said that he was mad that Cleveland always gets taken away because he is black. He was tried he gets accused of being a rappist. Also when the officers noticed it was a black man with a White kid they decided to pull him over.
5.) The officers finally believe him when they call Noah's mother and asked her if she knows where her son is and she explains that he is getting picked up by Cleveland.
6.)I think that Ms Edwards picked this story to compare To Kill a Mocking Bird to the stroy. In the book a black man is being accused of rapping a white lady. This might just be because he is black and hated on. It was worst back then though. She might have wanted to show that things are kind of the same as they were back then. Black people are expecting of doing things they really dont do and that they are still kind of discriminated on.

Shooting Lennie
I think that when George Shot lennie He was trying to be a good friend. I think he was trying to save Lennie from all the suffering. If I was put in George place I would have never shot my friend.I Would have also made sure Curly didnt either. I would rather have him go to jail then take his life away.

Holloween
The most popular holloween charcter this year are popular actors or singer. this year i think Mickel Jackson will me the most popular character. lots of people look up to him and since he was the greatest singer in all times he would be the most worn costum. this holiday was brought to celebrate the dead. most pople only celebrate it just to get free candy. i think that the most poplular costums back in the days might have been vampires and any type of scary monster.. it could have also been simple things like pumpkins.
